Facilities

We are developing a history of the facility, called CSI, for Church Scene Investigations.

Structure and Interior

In 1998, the building was renovated, after years of postponed maintenance.  Thanks to a generous bequest, the roof has been repaired, the windows cleaned and restored throughout the building, and the heating system replaced in the fall and winter.

In 1999, the meeting rooms were reworked, and in 2000, the office layout was revised. The office for the secretary and administrative assistant were brought close to the entry, and the rector's office moved to the ground floor.

In 2001, an elevator was started to make the four levels of the facility accessible to the handicapped; it was finished in Spring 2002. Also in 2001, new lighting was chosen, and the installation complete by Easter 2002.

Level 4

There are several small meeting rooms, used for Sunday School and Nursery.

Worship On Level 3

The sanctuary seats approximately 125, according to current practices.

A wireless microphone system ensures that all can hear the service and sermon.

The organ is an Aeolian-Skinner, opus 998.

Moody Chapel, the right aisle leads directly to this side chapel;

St John's Chapel is off the main corridor, and is used for Wednesday morning Eucharist, and other small services.

Some of the windows are of fine quality, by noted studios.

Also on Level 3

Choir practice room, Altar Guild work and storage area, priest's robing room, acolyte robing room, library, etc.

Level 2

Rector's office, Vestry meeting room, and staff office.

Level 1

There is a kitchen and large meeting room that seats over 150.

And ...

Grounds and Exterior

In 2006, we plan to improve the signage, and the landscaping.
Pictures and details

In 2005, we worked to improve the appearance of the grounds, to make the church have more "curb appeal".
