Welcome Janet and David King!

Janet and David arrived in Haverhill this week and have spent much of the time getting settled into their new digs at Haverhill Lofts.  They are both excited to be here.  Janet will serve Trinity as Director of A.C.A.T. and F.E.A.S.T.  (Academy of Creative Arts @ Trinity and Fun and Enrichment After School at Trinity).  ACAT is our program of music, theater, and art classes and FEAST is the name of our new five day per week after-school program.  (BTW if you know someone who might qualify financially for FEAST and who might be interested in the program please let them know to contact Janet ASAP to register.  The qualifications are pretty simple: Haverhill resident and need financial assistance in order to provide high quality after-school programming for children age 6 to 12.)   David will take over the stewardship of our beautiful organ and will accompany the choir as they support our singing and offer special music each week during the program year.

Janet Morrow King:  I am excited to be back at Trinity!  I retired from Colorado State University in 2009 after a 24-year career of teaching voice, diction, opera, and vocal pedagogy.  After that, I attended seminary at the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA, where one of my favorite experiences was a field ed. internship here as the choir director for ACAT.  Since then I have been honing my skills for this new position by serving as the Music Minister at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and on the youth leadership team for the Circles program of the Education and Life Training Center, both in Ft. Collins, CO.  I look forward to serving the parish, and the children in the after-school programs.

David King:  After using a digital organ lately, I am looking forward to Trinity’s Aoelian Skinner.  What a treat!  I will enjoy making music for worship on Sundays.  Trinity is the next church I will serve, added to a list of fifteen previous ones.  Janet and I have been making music together since 1985 – accompanying her on the piano.  Thanks for this opportunity.
